fisher 696	Posted: 6/28/2007 4:22:13 PM Reply Being new to ocean fishing I'm hoping to find a decent area to fish. I have a 14 ft fiberglass that carries @ 4 hours fuel. Also I have been told that there are prawns to be had in Indian arm. Any truth to that? Any info would be appreciated.
green guy	Posted: 6/29/2007 11:11:17 AM Reply i dont have much taste for cockroaches of the sea myself. but you may want to look at some places around gambier really good and much better for you.a fella i worked with ate all kinds of crabs and cockroaches from all the local spots for years.then he had his mercury levels checked. and well ... he cant eat them any more.

Dogbreath	Posted: 7/8/2007 5:42:21 PM Reply The area is fished hard by all kinds of people Sport and Commercial (Crab & Prawn in season). Prawning is best in winter, there's an RCA, Rockfish Closure Area that you have to be aware of and Pink Salmon will soon be running to the Indian River. You're 20 years too late for decent fishing of any kind.
