I know the coho are in the cap right now but what to use for them? Is there anything in the seymour? what are they taking? thanks
bass master 99

for coho and springs the best thing to use is roe. either boraxed or pro cured roe works well and fresh roe works best. just take a spawn sac, put a ball about the size of your thumb and put it into the middle then close it up and tie the bag closed with some thread. To hook it just put a hook through a section of mesh. You may not think the fish will get hooked this way but the fish take it so hard it doesn;t matter.

yeaa ..we used some cured row and were hittin all day ...but to our greedy dissapointment they were only averging 1-5 lbs...lots of fish in the spawning channel aswell ..think the natives are behind schedual..lol..

What do you mean by "spawning channel"? Where is the spawning channel? Just on the other side of the CN bridge?

up at the hatchery..the top of the cap there is a hatchery( if u didnt know..)..was there agin yesterday and left with a niice chrome bullet bout 3 lber.. to my disgust there are still clowns tryin to foul hook these fish ..put some bait on ur hook u loosers they do bite!!!!!
exkamiflyfisher

Not sure how far up that hatchery is but you can only fish below a certain section of the river.
you should really pull out the cell phone and call fisheries/conservation officer when you see people trying to snag fish. especially when it is on a fishery that is heavily regulated for a reason-it's not doing well!
The trout

you can only fish below the cable pool footbridger which is about 1-2 hundred yards from the hatchery. It has big signes that say no fishing above this point and if you go with the crowds you won't get yourself in trouble. I was fishin the cable pool today and had no luck but some people where catching coho. one guy caught a nice 8 pounder or so.
