Hi,I was planning a trip up to the harrison mills area for some fishing and some golf and have heard a rumor that the campground on the chehalis river has gone from around 35-40 sites down to around 10? Does anyone have any info about this area?

Was up there 2 months ago and the camp was closed because the river had gone through it. Not sure what shape it is in now.

I was there last week & it has suffered a lot of wind damage. According to the caretaker the Forest Service is not going to fix it but will shut it down & let it revert to the local natives. What happens after that who knows. As for camping there are 3 or 4 sites further up, on the other side of the bridge. The caretaker comes over periodically to collect $$$ and will keep the gate closed. There are some good pools there so fishin' is ok.

If it reverts to the natives, not to be racist but i guarantee the break-ins will get worse.
