Came across this article on the net, this is a laker out of Tazin Lake in NW Saskatchewan. Its 55 inches long, and has a girth of 35.5 inches, and an estimated weight of over 70 lbs!!! It was caught last year, i dont know about you guys but ive never seen a laker of that size in my life, anyway had to share this pic. The look on the guides face says it all, wow what a fish!

My luck if I hooked inot something that big I'd capsize my damn boat. That's the biggest laker I've ever seen.

there were 3 different lodges that i visited last year on great slave lake and they all reported several fish over 50 lbs. not as much pressure up there and lots of food.
i would highly recomend going up there if you dont mind the bugs.
