Every time i've gone up to Pen there's always people fishing off the shore, is it any good yet?

I heard there is some kind of derby going on this weekend. Some local bass fishing clubs are cruising, Skaha, Vaseaux and Osoyoos lakes. Check out these links below.

I would love to go, i fish Vaseaux quite a bit in the summer while out there on business. Dont think I'll be able to make it, it may also be a bit cold still.

Ya the weather down here has been pretty bland lately, over cast, mid teens nothing to hot. I usually just wait til summer to fish Vaseux/Skaha.

mcs did u make it up to madden at all this past weekend? we pulled a nice one from sawmill today, around 5 pounds, a couple others around 2 pounds. all on chronies once again.

No i couldn't find time. Nice looking fish by the way, the water looks like it's pretty murky. Is it turning over??

no the water has cleared up pretty good, the water looks murked probably from the oars rubbing the bottom. may have been a little stirred up from fighting the fish too.

Awesome, i want to try to get up there sunday. Where abouts were you fishing? The far bay at the end of the lake with chronies?

Honestly ive found that it doesn't much matter, put a chronie on any of the shoals and you'll have success. But if you go from the dock there, striaght across and a little and about 50 yards to the right, there a shoal that kinda jets out to a little point about 15-20 yards off the shoreline. I love to fish rigth off the tip of that, i awlways have great action there. But the majority of my big fish have came off the shoals that run adjacent to the dock, right up to the the end with the little bay. But like i said it really doesnt matter, just work the shoals with a chronie and you'll have no problem catching fish.
