Topic: Number 2 / 3 rd Fishing for salmon |

Hello i was just wondering if i could fish number 2 / 3 road dock area in richmond for any type of salmon. I know i could catch pinks there before, but i was wondering if there is any other types of salmon there. i went this weekend, and i saw very bizarre things. first off the water was incredibly high due to rain. i never saw it so high before. i saw a frog in the river trying to swim back to shore which was very bizarre. probably washed up from shady island. i saw a senior asian man using spawn bags at the dock, and i was just wondering how i could catch any kinds of salmon there right now. i was just wondering how to use spawn bags, what kind of fishing i have to do, and what i have to use to catch salmon there. the water is really high right now, and there is salmon. i saw them jump with my own eyes. anybody have any info pls?

those fish could be runs of chum salmon. i have never fished that part of the river at this time of year. bronze Spoons and weigted spinners fished around low tide should probably give some success.good luck

Yep, I would agree with el-nino. Spoons (Koho, Kit-a-Mat, Crocs) and spinners, such as Blue-Fox may work for both Chums and Coho Salmon.
But at the same time mouth of Fraser River considered to be one of the most challenging places for fishing due to lockjaws effect - when salmon enters freshwater, their jaws are locked and it is harder to entice the bite.
