Arrived at the lake around 9am with patches of blue sky and a few clouds. Loaded my boat into the lake and headed out towards the dog park area. Trolled a "Carrey Special" for a while with no bits for about an hour. Then went towards the view point and trolled around there. Put the fly rod into the holder on the side of my boat to light a smoke, then bamm a fish hit the fly. I scrambled to the rod and just as I was about to set the hook the fish was gone. This happened a second time around the same spot. From there I went back towards the dog area (allot of fish rising here). Same deal as before, trolling along when I had a bite. Set the hook and the fight was on. Reeled in a nice 14" rainbow with the net and carefully snapped a pic. Released him back into the lake to grow and be caught another day.
That was it for fish. The rain started pouring down and I high tailed it outta there. Was nice to have the day off and be out on the lake. Cant wait for next time.

I saw you in your aluminum boat, I was fishing from shore with power bait, had no luck, but I saw some fish leaping.

Nice catch olie'. Glad to hear a guy putting one back. I haven't fished there in about 5 years but I got allot of kicks in my belly boat there with the same action back then.

Hey badcat, saw you too out there. I thought it was going to be a nice sunny day but the rain got the best of us. It was kind slow fishn that day. I have had 15+ trout days there before though.
Going agian Sunday, anyone out there have a boat? Meet ya in the water on the weekend.
