A buddy of mine has a few days off this week and asked me where to go fishing on Thursday or Friday. Since the bulk of my flyfishing is done in the interior I thought I would ask some of you here.
He would love to take out his boat (12') and go to a lake if possible with his sons. So I ask you where can he go. Are some of the local lakes open and ice free?
I thought Weaver or Wonick, or even Jones lake but I do not know the conditions of the lakes.
Please let me know so my Bud can get out with his kids.

maybe mill if the weather is ok, there is always lafarge or buntzen but in lafarge there is no electric motors so if they want to troll tell them to go to buntzen lake. gang trolls with worm do well, or spinners tipped with worms. on the fly, all the good hatchery rainbow patterns (spratleys,micro leeches and wolly buggers in an assortment of colours). I don't know if any fraser valley lakes would be ok besides kawkawa lake.

the big lakes are still rather sleepy, but most of the smaller local ones have picked up, and theres alot of surface action.
