Topic: Little Shuswap & Shuswap Lakes |

Looking for some advice and guidance on my next fishing trip...
I've never boated or fished these lakes. (always OK lake when I'm in this area) I just recently left the surf/wake boat world and joined the fishing boat world. I just ordered a KingFisher 2225 Escape HT and so I'm trying to plan some trips for next year.
I found a couple nice places to stay on Little Shuswap Lake as well as the main Shuswap Lake. Here's my questions...
- Is Little Shuswap a nice lake to stay on? I don't know anything about it and I heard there was a massive sewage spill into the lake recently from a Native Reserve? Is this true?
- Is the river that connects Little Shu to the main Shuswap easy to navigate by boat? Or is it sketchy? I don't want to damage my new boat so if this is the case then I'll just stay on the main Shuswap lake...
- How's the fishing on both these lakes overall? I'll fish for any species, tight lines are tight lines. lol
- What's a good time to go? I've been looking at out-of-season times because the house rentals are half the price usually. Was thinking June and/or September?
I appreciate any advice you can offer me. Thanks in advance.
