i just want to fly fish

hey guys this is my first post on the forums! iv recently fallen in love with fly fishing since catching my first fish with my fly rod of 3 years this past salmon run and now im all outfitted for flyfishing for trout i was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some knowledge with me about what flies to use dry flies and when to use wet flies or sinking line vs float line ect. basically iv become addicted to this and i have no one to show me the ropes so iv turned to you all XD

I'm assuming you live at the coast which has some fly fishing available now for cutties in particular.
What you need to do is some research as to what flies etc to use and where to go . A good place to start might be Fred's Custom Tackle website. Check the "fishing reports" to get an idea as to where you might go. Once you get to a spot watch what other fishermen are doing and possibly ask some questions.
For research into flyfishing I'd suggest starting with Brian Chan's website ,Riseform Flyfishing Ventures as well as Phil Rawley's website (keep in mind Phil is in Alberta so might be suggesting two flies at a time which is a no no here ) Flycraft Angling. There are tons of other websites that will provide you with info you can put to use.
The last suggestion is find a friend to fish with. Two heads will learn faster than one!
