I fished the corner pool yesterday morning with no luck, not even a bite. Actually, I caught a northern pike minnow.
There were 3 guys fishing excluding me, and only one guy had his bobber dunk in the middle of the pool with no connection to fish; I saw the bite as I was chatting with him and admiring his perfect drifts. However, he could not set the hook properly because he was aware that I was near and didnt want to hit me with the rod.
I apologized and he was super cool about it by saying "it is only a fish and I will catch it next time." What a nice guy! He even gave me a half roe for me to try next time.
The salmons on the shuswap might not be as bright as the ones in the lower mainland, but the scenery, people, and overall fishing experience definitely make up for it.
Unfortunately, I dont have any report on the slide pool. I didnt check the pool nor talked to anyone who fished it.

JG, I got an 8 pound buck this morning at my regular spot, floating at the point. I've had a good bite each of the 1st two days. I'd love to give the old slide hole a try but it is too far to drive. Try your luck up here some time.

Oops meant to say sliding hole , I haven’t heard of it , assuming it’s decent fishing ? just a bit of a drive to get too ?

Depends where you live as to how long a drive obviously. The Shuswap River flows from Mable Lake down through Enderby. There are several pools to fish, from Cooks Creek up to Mable Lake provides the best fishing . The Slide Hole is just one of several deep pools.
The season runs for about a month usually, mid-August on.

The ball park has 2 pools, the corner pool and the slide hole.
