Hello, I'm pretty new to fishing and I caught (and released) this fish in Alouette lake last weekend. What species is it, northern pikeminnow? Thank you.

Looks like a NPM to me.
Welcome to the addictive world of fishing.
PS If you are want to release fish so that they have the highest chance of survival, please keep them in the water as much as possible. I know you were trying to get as good a picture as possible, but it's good practice to try and hold them in one hand in water and take the photo with the camera in the other hand.
