Hello everyone, I was just curious if anyone has been out fishing to Mabel Lake yet this year. I want to go there soon, but was thinking it still may be a bit early seen as how we're having such a late spring this year. Thanks for the info.

it's never too early. the fish are always there, and they should be hungry as all heck. fry should be starting to flush more and more with every week that goes by now.
stump lake was completely covered in ice when I went by it mid-day today. only open water along some of the shoreline about maybe ten feet out. when I went by about 3 hours later, open water way out from shore, and large parts right across the lake open. with the winds now, it should be total ice-off tomorrow or Thursday.
I think we've finally rounded that bend.

Hey thanks for the insight, going to go check it out one day soon. Will let everyone know how we do.
