Let's post as lakes thaw out and we can start fishing. I haven't been out in over a week, but will offer Squamish and Fraser Valley info as soon as I start getting back out.
Sunshine Coast lower elevation lakes are all good:
(still lots of ice above 300 meters)
Trout Lake Lily Lake Sakinaw Lake Ruby Lake Waugh Lake Brown Lake Garden Bay Lake
Lower Mainland
Sasamat Lake

In the last couple of days there is some water showing around the edge of the lakes in my area ( near Chase) . It will be a week but finally fishing will start....I HATE ice fishing ! Got to catch me a 10 pound brookie.

Drove to Vernon yesterday. Swan Lake is ice free and it likely has been so for a while. Joyce Lake has some open water but will be a few days yet before it is ice free. Echo is a couple of days behind Joyce it appears. Phillips Lake is just starting to get some water around the edges. Next weekend might signal the start of fishing for me as I live very close by. Flemming is a day or so ahead of Phillips and Skimikin even further ahead. It could be ice free by Monday. These lakes are not very high and are very late getting ice off. Phillips is usually ice free by about the 4th of April. Last year it was early March ! Anyone planning a trip to the Kamloops/Okanagan had better not come too early. It is very cool so spring is slow arriving. It was snowing a few minutes ago !

To my surprise the ice is almost off Phillips Lake today. There is only a small open spot at the boat launch. One fellow out fishing but had no luck. He was having to keep moving as the ice flow was chasing him. The rest of the lake was open. It will be all open by tomorrow. Now if it will warm up a bit.
