Topic: Skunked on the Sunshine Coast |

I've been enjoying the Sunshine Coast this winter as there have been unfrozen lakes since mid-January. Had some good luck but it's been dwindling lately. it's been right around 0-5 degrees every time.
Took my Dad last week and only caught one fish from my good spot on Ruby. He's always brought bad luck and we don't typically catch many fish together.
Went back for redemption this week. Fished at Brown Lake in Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park, 3 separate spots on Ruby Lake, Garden Bay Lake, Katherine Lake (caught a couple 6-8" cutthroat which is a waste of time and just torment for the poor young fish), and did some 4x4 and then fished Crowston Lake in the last hour before sunset.
Despite not bringing home any fish, Sunshine Coast is an amazing place with beautiful lakes and a quiet peaceful countryside. There are lots of higher lakes which would be super-low pressure due to difficult 4x4 or hike/bike only access. Might be productive in the summer.
Looking forward to our lower mainland lakes thawing.
