Closest lake to Lower Mainland that is starting to thaw out. No bites today but good to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and the hope of more unfrozen water.

The lake is 30 minutes nice walk or 10 minutes casual bike ride from the ferry. If you know a place to park near Horseshoe Bay or can get dropped off, do that. Coffee house immediately on your left as you get off the ferry has good food and coffee. Very nice trip. Will try again next month because I'd also like to try Honeymoon Lake. Lots of logs in that one but I have a good feeling there are trout lurking in there too.

sounds a lot better than sitting around home....hope to try my luck on the South Thompson for some silver bullets tomorrow. Standing by the river sure beats ice fishing!
