Hello everyone, Has anyone herd of catfish fishing in the lower mainland?

Yeah there's a few places you can catch them, although I think most people (including myself) often confuse them with brown bullhead. They don't get very big in my experience.

When I was a kid we used to get lots of cats in the South Allouette below Neaves. I remember a 100 fish day between myself and my buddy. Actually it was 100 cats and my buddy caught a nice jack so he got the prize for the day!

old and wise!!! maybe the springs look young but the big bucks I shoot make me look young and small ! And I can still drag them to my truck so I am younger than I look ! lol

Mill lake in Abbotsford has tons of catfish. Worm on the bottom and you'll have them in no time. I don't know what time of year they become active but in the heat of summer you lose count of how many you get, along with the odd other random fish that is in there. It's kind of sad fishing there though because my friends girlfriend was fishing with us and the turtles in there often swallow the worm/hook.. and you feel like an asshole letting a turtle go with a hook down it's throat. You cannot get it out, they just hide.
