Check the trinity strand. Bass are normally relatively easy to catch fight hard and bite often.

I second that motion. Some good bass fishing in abbotsford as well... Mill lake for example, or the sloughs of Pitt river. You can aim for the small local stocked lakes for rainbows (como, Lafarge, green timbers to name a few) right after they're stocked, but people go ape shit when they get stocked so going a month or two after can be disappointingly slow compared to how much bass like to bite!

I also forgot that buntzen is busy but can be good fishing. Also hatzic lake in mission has carp, bass, crappie and catfish(I think) do if you can make it out its supposed to be excellent.
