Does anyone know when the gate to wood lake is open, planning a trip there and don't want to haul all my gear and pontoon in. Or if you don't know, do you know who I can call? Maybe the parks department?? Any info is appreciated thanks

Try the hidden gem located just before wood on the right. Its got a cabin an beautiful bows to 3lbs.. 10min walk or 2min drive from wood

thanks for the help, definetely going to try it out, on google maps if your heading to wood lake, it looks like the hidden gem lake is off the main road to the left? not the right. also how accessible is it?

Little forest fire going on around Wood Lake. If the place burns to the ground I have some pictures from over the years. Fishing was always difficult.

Fishing was always awesome at wood lake for me, but I'm wondering about this hidden gem of a lake he speaks of...is it to the left up the hill when driving toward wood lake? Looks like it on Google earth

I suspect ti will not be hard to find that lake once the fire is out. From the tv reports it did not look like there are a lot of trees left around Woods. What a shame. Sure would love to spend some quality time with the moron who started it!
