Been a great year for coho and the smoker is put away for a little while.... so I'm thinking about fly fishing cutties and bulls until steelhead gets hot on the Vedder.
I have almost religously gone to dewdney/deroche to go after cutties just wondering what are some peoples favorite systems and flies for December cutties?
Also any pics of some nice Nov/Dec trout would be cool!

My go to fly for cutties. I've had great success in all year round, and change up the colours between this, and some Browns.
Love working smaller systems where I've found the odd 18" cuttie lurking. Have not targeted the vedder yet tho for Bulls which is next on the list.

Thats a great video young man and some nive trout to top it off. Looks fun on a pin rod as well. I usually use my 5 or 6 wt single.

That was a great little video, thanks for posting it up.
Moe, you use a 5-6 weight fly rod with indicator?

No indicator for me. I was self taught and never really got into using them. I might this winter as i've been getting told i should at least give them a try. Looking at getting the New Zealand style when i do decide to try.

Thanks for that. I was not familiar with the New Zealand indicator tool.
So you currently fish the egg pattern old skool with a sink tip or light sinking line?
Makes me wonder if it may be possible to rig up a little wool indicator pulled through something like a bobber stopper knot made from an elastic band.

something like that will work, I was going to rig up some myself and just put flotant on the wool indicator. I don't really use egg patterns that often, usually streamer type flies like a double bunnies, clouser minnows and and big buggers with rubber legs work well.
