if Jet boats are sure, why not?

I didn't jet boats were legal. Weird they allow power boats on small rivers.

I suppose the problem I see is that it's pretty easy for a boater going fast around a corner on a river to run down a fisherman who is wading midstream.

Also power boats carry oil/diesel/gas. In case of an accident that could damage spawning beds.

there is lots of water available for them without bombing up a river crowded with fishermen. there should be some speed limit on the river. other rivers/lakes have them. some people actually obey the speed limits too.
