hey goin fishin i wanna talk to you about meeting up this season. aaron_chip@hotmail.com

Hes a good guy, and has gained a lot of experience from being out there fishing, from when i used to work with him.
-Goin'Fishin'-

My fishing season is %100 last minute planned and I get to throw my gear in the local rivers for 1-3 hours at a time. With a wife and two young kids at home, I'm not out as much as most.

I took advice from a buddy above ^^ and learned the basics, got some tips, and put it all to use on the river. I'm still searching for my first steelhead but It'll come. I won't be contacting you for this season, but next september I'm heavy into pinks in squamish and Abby under the bridge, maybe the other local river. I'll more than gladly toss some flies with you next season.

Brings me to another point of this mornings outting. I'm standing in the river, all alone for as far as the fog would let me see and I see a guy walking towards me tossing a fly working his way up River. We head knod each other and he works his fly about 30 yards away from me which is great. Plenty of room, my drift won't get in his up River cast etc... So 5min later some ass hole comes stomping into the river between fly guy and myself.. Now we're 15yard spaced when I have 0 people and a ton of River to my left with a couple holes. I cold shouldered the dink and moved up River. That's when I began hooking into fish on hardware. So maybe I have him to thank?

Cheers,
aaronwilde

Lol thought u wanted to jig for some chum on the stave. Oh well the fish arent going anywhere . theres tons off ass hats like thst out there. Its really great when their snaggers too. Apparently salmon dont bite LOL
-Goin'Fishin'-

I want to toss flies for chum in the stave. I have an old 7/8 weight I wanna abuse. Hope you get a chance to get out there. I might be able to but trying to find parking, hiking in, then fishing for an hour before I gotta leave seems a waste. I don't get a large time slot to fish... Lol
aaronwilde

That makes sense. Parkings not hard to find but its a bit of a walk. Kids sound like no fun atall lol few hours open time at best? I couldnt do it

It's all about balance my man! You'll learn
Knnn

Goin'Fishin', I noticed you mentioned the Squamish. If you live that way, it's a lot less stressful than fighting the hordes at the Stave, because there is no retention.

If you want to sport fish for them I know a couple of nice locations to fly fish for chum, which is what I want to do with my new 8 wt single. Let me know if you are interested in directions or would like to meet out there.
-Goin'Fishin'-

There are some great areas for no retention out that way and I normally stay away from the other anglers at the bridge. I do enjoy keeping a nice thick silver doe in September tho. Just a "tad" cleaner looking than the vedder run.

Hope we can meet up at some point or just share some info. Always great learning and sharing as I'm not that experienced.
