I am interested in these locations for crappie but have very little info on them for crappie I know that there are crappie in mill but I've only heard some rumours of them in fish trap. Is it worth the effort to try there (boatless) and if so how should I go about it. Thanks any help would be much appreciated.

I used to fish Mill alot but in last 13 yrs only few times. I never saw crappie there but im sure there could be by now. As was said, skip fishtrap. The best crappie fishing ive seen was Whonnock lake. I think we caught 60 between 2 of us in 3 hours, we used to keep track who was ahead back then, and i got one while standing in float tube ready to get out to win the outing. We were flyfishing, I believe all I used was a black or olive doc spratley. This was years ago so not sure on state presently, but its likely good.

went to mill today I started fishing then this kid came along and caught 2 crappie in 2 min then it slowed down anyways he helped me out and I managed to get a little one before the rain drove us out I'm gonna try again when and if we get a sunny day. (he said it was a slow day but still managed to get a 5 or 6 in an hour)

When I was in high school we used to catch Crappie under the dock. There used to be at least thirty or forty fish under there. The dock used to be old and you could see the fish through the cracks in the dock and catch them in the cracks. Believe it or not we actually went there with no gear one day. We found some line and a couple plain hooks, and we caught about seven that day with line and empty hooks. There are also sunfish along the shore in the shallows as well.
