I got me a set with rod and reel and small tackle box from a store that had few lures with triple hooks on them and regular triple hooks . in manual says that "content of the tackle box is compliant with state environmental laws" .
question is can I use those lures and hooks in bc lakes for trout or not ?!
Bckidfisher69

Depends look up the regulations before heading out.
alexfromrichmond

its doesn't say anything about it , but single hook barbless for salmon ....

let's stick to region 2 so we do not have to go through each region. basically though they are much if not exactly the same.
you may only use single barbless hooks in streams. unless the lake is specifically listed you can use treble hooks. for example of a restricted lake is Alpha lk......single barbless. if the lake is not listed , as Alpha is, then trebles are ok. like I said before, you have to check the provincial regs, the regional regs and then the specific body of water you want to fish.

ty cagey , like u can see im doing my best with doubles and triples checks :D
alexfromrichmond

so from what u said if lake is not listed in the list I can use trebles on any lake that is not in list ?! for example devil`s lake - its not listed , or rice rice lake which is listed but only restriction is 2 trouts/chars a day . does that mean I can use treble on both of them ?!

p.s. sorry for being annoying but this is too complicated :D
cagey

no question is stupid alex. better to be safe than sorry. All I ask is that you read them before asking, which you have done.
you are correct. if the lake is not listed as having a restriction it is open to treble hooks. I did not check personally on Rice and Devils but assume you checked it correctly.
alexfromrichmond

I still not gonna use them , they gay
I got few fishys today , me and my dad kept only 1 of each cuz they swallowed the hook i go with bigger size now so they don't get to much dmg couple fellows got it in a lip so they got just a bit scared :D
cagey

sounds like a good day.keep up the "good work"!!!
I use barbless single hooks wherever I fish . easier to release. sometimes you loose some but who really cares. "long releases" can be fun too!
alexfromrichmond

if i want a fishy to eat i live by stevston fish market
just trying to have more fun with less damage possible .. cuz i see lots of kids at that lake best for kids
On The Dry
