Just wondering if anyone on this site has been to Shannon Lake near Kelowna or Vaseaux lake and caught any bass? The reason I ask is I've never caught bass, how do you fish them?

I was at Vaseux a few weeks ago and had good luck on tube jigs and rattlin' Rapalas all on spin gear... as well as Gold Rolled Muddlers on the fly.
Fun lake... enjoy

I have seen several good size fish come out off Shannon Lake all summer, but no one has been on the lake lately. PS. I work at Shannon Lake Golf course.

I fish Vasuex quite alot with my buds when i can. I find the best technique is jigging with a Green or black tube jig off of any weed beds that you notice in the water. If your fly-fishing, a green and white popper will slay the small mouth. -wish you luck

The lake has stocked rainbows for the last 5years. They get hammered pretty hard.. About 5years before that the Bass fishing was really good but I've only caught rainbow and perch and some small bass since then. It just seems like they packed up and fucked off to the deeps. Bass taste like shit so dont keep them the rainbows... my cat wouldnt eat them!
