I'm thinking of heading out of town next week any thoughts on some local spots to go? Got a boat with a 9.9, an electric motor and a week off.

Anyone been to any of the interior lakes in the past week?

Not recently, but I'm heading up to Roche Lake on Sept 23rd for a derby.

As the nights get cooler and water temp drops the fishing will pick up. The big lunkers will come up from the deep and feed in the shallows !!

My favorite - a "Little Fort Wooly Bugger" on a dry line with a long leader. Early morning or just before dark. Tons of line out almost to backing on a "slow" row. (Be patient)

Good Luck

Just got back from Tunkwa. Fly fishing in the evening was good. Fishing the edge of the weadbeds SW end of the lake with worms under bobber great during the days.
