hey guys havent seen to many topics so iam guessing everyone has been putting some time into the waters lets show what we got!!

this is the first guy i got on the vedder just a little 4 lbs steely was hatchery but i let her live to fight another day

first fish is actually a resident rainbow not a steel, they have white tipped fins and look similar to steel and get to be a fair size, good catch none the less.

interesting! not doubting you just didnt think i would find a hatchery resident rainbow in the vedder

not all the released fish smolt out and head to sea, just as wild fish do some will residualize and stay in the system, some just fo a few years others their whole lifespan.

beauty wild steel islander86! ive only made it out a few days sofar this season... no strikes yet for me but with all the rain in the lower mainland more fish will be moving into the local systems

Hi guys, i am planning on making a trip to the vedder river next week (Monday or Tuesday). I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the fishing has been. Im not necassarily after steelhead, I'm after anything, coho, dolly's etc. Would it be worth a 3 hour drive from kelowna? Are steelhead the only fish running right now? Or are there others as well. What part of the river should i try?
