Pretty scary out there today. Scary good! Water in excellent shape. Some folks were limiting out in an hour ( I kid you not - I even got their names - "Natalie (lovely lady but talks too much), Nick (quiet, large, 60s - he guided Natalie) and Lance (center-pinning Asian who is mentally obsessed to catching every coho in the river even if he casts over other people lines lol)") Yes, it was roe primarily - about 10 to 1 vs blades. I hooked into a two wilds and two chums (pretty clean). Great day, but damn - over TWENTY cars in the gravel pit parking lot at 7am. Who works anymore? A couple of pics below including map of location (look for red fish). Should be excellent on the weekend. No pinks and no springs but much cohos.

Good report, if you enjoyed fishing there you probably shouldn't post the location on the internet.

The parking area is already full 7 days a week, what's another 30 meat heads?
bently

I'm sure he's not too worried about it or he wouldn't have posted it, right ???? man o man. Like it's a secret anyways.
Monahan

True, but more internet exposure will only add to the gong show, more room for people like me!
Knnn

Thanks for the report.

Anyone know if it's ever worth fishing the frog water on the inside channel, i.e. close to the parking area?
bently

Sorry Monahan but there is probably a good dozen or more sites that talk about coho fishing on the vedder daily, the areas mentioned are well known, and have been for years. He wasn't the only person there, old Nick fishes there all the time, long before most on here were born, it's not something new to anybody that fishes that river except newbs and who cares if a few more of them show up anyways, the place is already bursting at the seams with anglers anyways, sheesh !
Monahan

Lots of people, so the fish probably get spooked and stop biting, go for a hike and you will find some frog water with fewer or no people would be better as the fish would be less spooked.
OldGregg

move all the meat heads to one spot opens up the rest of the nerby spots to less traffic
