Good numbers of fish in there, not much decay around (YET!). Short floating Jigs is your best bet. A lot of people still long leaders and snagging fish, hopefully they can learn.
I caught numerous fish on purple jigs, float to hook about 3' fishing in 5' of water. 15lb mainline, 15lb leader (chum have lots of teeth).
Remember to check the regs before you head out.... parking is an issue as well so be aware of that.

I've been fishing there a lot this past week too. Tons of decent fresh fish with lots of fight. Purple and pink jigs has definitely been the ticket. Fluorocarbon leaders seemed to make a bit of a difference with the water being as clear as it is.
Like oldgregg said, use short leaders folks. No reason to be snagging these highly aggressive fish.

good report, where did you guys park? I went on the east side last year and didn't mind the walk but how is it now?

Was up there with the boat a few days ago, dropped the pick, waded out and swung some purple tacos and prom dress's, got into quite a few nice chum as well as a couple cohos on a blue/green X-mas tree and a white/chartrues clouser.
Plan n going back pretty soon, then off hunting for another 2 weeks.

at least you still get out bently, its hard to make time for fishing with all the geese and ducks flying around, let alone weekend trips to reg 3 and reg 5 looking for a nice 4pt.

now, now, no talking hunting . the mod man will delete it ! question though, why only 4 pts. 2 minutes after I shot my 90 pounder (thank god it was small . I'm too old to pack them up hill !)I watched a big 6 pt walk away at 50 yds. he's still walking. same one I missed last year I think !

Maybe next year we can just start a hunting thread at the beginning of September.

Because they are not to big and not to small cagey. Decent tasting meat, and a good amount of it. Dont' get me wrong if a 6pt walked out he would get to know my friend the 180gr NP
