i have no idea why nobody trys fishing the middle arm to the left of 2rd bridge south of sea island. these waters are teeming with dollies and cutties... occasionally a steelhead. the middle arm is very shallow and yes most of the fish travel straight up the middle of the river, but there are a few spots that i know of which i've been fishing since i was a kid that are producing a shit load of fish. one spot is about 50 meters to the left of the dock along the dike. stand in the middle of the weeds at low tide and fish there an hour longer from the tide comes up and you'll slaughter them.its catch and release but you'll have a great time especially if you bring a camera.i went there 7 in the morning on jan. 8 hungover.. put a chunk of raw beef kidney and caught 6 dollies of which were all in the 3 - 4 lb range. i've caught cutties, coho, and steelhead there as well in the past. don't overlook this spot seeing as i and a few others are the only ones that know about this spot. tight lines and tight asses. have a good one

go south from the sea island airport across the 2rd bridge into richmond, park your vehicle at the nearest pullout on river road to the right of the bridge towards the mouth and the small island facing the ocean.if you have a boat that island is a pretty good hotspot.if you don't just simply walk along the dike until you see a dock(100 metres from bridge)walk to the left of the dock in the weeds about 50 yards and cast out there about 20 feet out during incoming tide.theres another spot with a small sand beach before the dock but its mostly course fish.

Smiley: This spot sounds familiar:
is the dock attached to a pier by a ramp? And is it near a music school or somebuilding in which i believe is a beefjerkey making place? I used to go to a place that sounds familiar to what you've described, but am not sure.
