I'm looking to fish the alouette through january/february, is this a good idea? Are the fish active at this time of year? And also where are the "hot spots" if anyone is willing to dish them out?

I fished there a few weeks ago and it was not very fast at all,mind you we were using lake char gear.Last year in Feb I did alright,maybe 5 to 6 koks per day,but with this cold snap things will be pretty tough.Good luck,Cheers.

I have found the most productive area of the lake (for koks)is on the east side of the lake north of the Boat launch and south of the net pens from 25m off shore to the middle of the lake.This lake is KILLER in the spring for Koks not very big but quick limits more often than not,Cheers.
