Shrimp works well under a float,and if your spinning, a cracked frog has always worked well for me

small pink curly tail with #6 hook, very slow retrieve
but if you are not used to spincasting, using bait under a float is the best bet. just cast as far as you can off the floating bridge and drift shrimp meat 1-1.5m off the surface.
fly fishing is very difficult in this lake as water is clear and lake is deep. though some people claim they managed to do well with dragon nymps in shallows or dry flies in the morning or at the sunset. also you can try chronies on a full sinking line real deep.

If you can get to Buntzen, go to Buntzen, its fished better than Sasamat this year.
