Samuel	Posted: 10/17/2013 12:03:52 PM Reply I just picked up a Tenkara 13' 50/50 rod. Man is it great. I've only taken it once out to Frosst creek (before it closed). I've tied a couple of the strange backward flies and they seem to do the trick. I love hiking with it. Does anyone else out there use this type of rod and know of any good mountain streams/creeks to take it on?

Samuel	Posted: 10/17/2013 3:50:42 PM Reply It is pretty great. I have only caught very small fish on it, but even those were fun. I've seen videos of guys catching salmon on them up in Squamish. The rod is great for backpacking and weights next to nothing, not to mention they're under $100 with a line.

I checked out their website. they sound great. if only my aching body would allow me to hike up those creeks I used to love to fish ! thanks for bringing another toy to my attention. now I will be trying to convince myself to try one !(lol )
