The color and spots on those jacks are amazing. Almost like Atlantic salmon. Mine were just silver.

Zap, I think we must be fishing the same water. Nice bright fresh jack, with clear fins caught last weekend.
PS are there any days you don't fish?

Probably my best fish of the season. It was delicious and much appreciated at a friends and family gathering, but in hind sight I wish I had released this one and kept some of the smaller fish.

Tons of fish this weekend and this big boy today, over 15 easily I'm 235 and have pretty big hands and barely got my hand around its wrist.

Not out of the gills it was from where it was hooked, I use small size 4 hooks on trailers to prevent bleeders but this one bled a little bit wich was disappointing, hooked mid-lower jaw.
Bleeding was stopped by the time he was revived and released.
|
Zap brannigan
|
blood was mixed in with water as it was dripping so it wasnt as bad as it looks.
trailers on a spinner.
|
Zap brannigan
|
no extra hook still a single barbless, just a way of using smaller hooks on lures to prevent bleeding and large holes from large hooks, but its still a hook peircing a fishes flesh and sometimes you'll get a bleeder smaller hooks just decrease the amount of them by far.

Love them late ho's, almost all late fish are wilds.
Steel by catch or still targeting ho's?
