I've been fishing on that lake a few times, the bridge is a great place to start. I fished there from shore and caught some bass. Lots of different species of fish to catch in that lake.

Topwater would work, I was using worms under a float or bottom fishing with worms to get my fish. With worms, you don't know what you are going to catch in that lake.

No problem, I was reading the posts about the fishing spot near Trinity, is it going to be closed?

Look for a place called Solana Bay on the East side of Osoyoos for some giant carp. Aswell as Peanut pond. I caught a nice 10+ pound carp using bread, split shot and a sharp hook. Corn also works really well.
The bridge has also been known for some good sized rainbows.
The large/small mouth Bass will attack at minnow patterns. And so will the Pikeminnows lol.
Flies trolled slowly on the surface can land you some Kokanee.
Pretty fun lake to fish with all the species in there. It has everything in it, making it fun to fish in all types of ways.
The only downfalls of Osoyoos lake are. It's bloody hot out even in the early hours of the morning, and it's polluted with millfoil.

they are either goinig to dump in rotenone or shock it. i have been told they have done this before and the bass survived. as far as i know they wont close it down. once again thanks for the info.

Whoever told you they were going to shock Osoyoos Lake has no idea what they are talking about. BC Fisheries would never let that happen. Nor would the community. There are over a dozen species of fish in this lake. Do you really think they would risk these fish to control a nuisance weed? Give your head a shake kid. Stick to fishing from the bridge.

Maybe you should read the whole thread before you start saying something, we were talking about a place near Trinity University. Give your head a shake! lol
