I was reading your report on Como Lake for Sunday.
It was nice to hear that the CO's were out enforcing, but I'm curious about them checking your terminal tackle for "pinched barbs".
Did they say the barbs must be pinched? That is not required in the synopsis as far as I can find. Perhaps they were looking for those gawd awful treble hooks.

I don't use treble hooks; however, I think they also are allowed on lakes.
At LaFarge I saw a guy next to me fish w/ a setup that had two hooks w/ two baits attached to them. I think this is illegal on lakes in BC (but ok for bar fishing in rivers like Fraser).

it isn't legal above the mission bridge, fetoid . (at least I don't think so). I am not sure what the regs say for below. I know when I was a kid we used 2 hooks legally in tidal waters .......assume you still can. definitely illegal at lefarge though i'd say.

Ok, that sounds familiar: 2 hooks ok in tidal waters. Single, barbless.
Between the otters and eagles at Lafarge, it's a miracle any fish are left ;-)

Now that I think of it they were probably checking for those treble hooks. Some lakes require single barb-less hooks but not all. All BC streams require single barb-less and fishing for any kind of salmon.
