Last Sunday I was fishing in Green Timber's Lake with salmon eggs and Black Mepp spinner. So far after three hours there isn't any bite on me. What is going wrong

When do you fish in the poor lake to catch anything?
I was told that there are carp and japness gold fish in the lake which have disturbed the habitat of stock trout.
 I hate people who do this kind of foolish thing. They should be wiser.
