I remember going into the river between rounds on a sweatlodge ceremony on Squamish Nation land, and havings thousands of fish swimming around and even over me. 2 years ago I saw thousands of dead pinks by the mouth, and I found a few good river access points (at the bottom of the falls is lovely!) and even got jacked up by fisheries for "acting suspicious" (didn't even have a rod with me!). WHy is this river never mentioned in fishing reports? Why aren't there native weirs up? Seems liek all teh pressure is on the Cap.... Seymour has a hatchery too I think.... what's the deal?

You can go to the Hatchery website-or you used to be able to-and see the pathetic returns. A couple hundred Coho & a couple dozen Steelies & some Pinks. Now that the money for the Htachery is going to be cut off that'll be it-party over. The dam killed that river as surely as an atomic bomb and no one cares.
