Fishin is bad medicine

heard that the water has coloured up a bit and not many hook ups.

I took Captain Brent up to the Cap hatchery on Saturday and I was surprised to see so many fish had made it up - everything looked half dead with some having chunks missing from trebel hook snags. Water was waaay low. Cable pool had lots of jumpers, but there was almost no action to the water.

These fish are moving up at night, and beating the hell out of themselves in the process. You can try dragging a fly across the pool early morning of in the evening I guess, but the fish are half dead already! I saw one jackass downstream flossing a 2' wide section of whitewater - assuming there was something in there, why not just use a net? What's the point?

My opinion is that although there ARE fish in there, there is no sports fishery there - these poor fish hardly have any chance at all, much less a sporting chance!

I have to agree with Kai the Guy, I was up there yesterday at cable pool and seen a few in there. Man are they in bad shape! Im not kidding, peices of there faces are missing as well as chunks here and there. Poor fish, they must be suffering. I say theres nothing in there worth fishing, except mabey the trout.

Great news, just got off the phone with the fish hatchery and aparantly the GVRD will be spilling the dam this afternoon. So this means higher water levels guys and girls!!
