does any one know any small rivers/streams that are good for fly fishing in or around maple ridge?

The whole south alouette river is good for trout all year try around maple ridge park or davidsons pool

What type of flys work on the alouette? When are the peak seasons?

Go to the first bridge on neaves road, thats the south alouette river, great for rainbow, went there 5 days ago and saw some nice silver salmon jumping too. No trout is right under the river walk down the dike to the first to second bend and thats where youll hook the rainbows i hooked to nice 12+ inch ones on a spinner the other day but lost em both while trying for the net. On the fly i went down a little farther and must have found a school of squafish caught 7 in five minutes. your best chance for trout and salmon is probley drift fishing, unless you can get a canoe or float tube with you.
