Seen a couple of guys using them today. THey looked like an amazing bit of kit. I am looking at the Hobie Pro angler 12, anyone have any experience with these?

I had a chance to use the ocean kayak torque. It's the model with the built it electric motor. Those kayaks are awesome! I know there a bit pricier than the hobie but if you're planning on sturgeon fishing in the Fraser or fishing for pinks and coho this fall, that's going to be the kayak you want.
You can go to western canoe and kayak in abbotsford and check them out there, those guys are pretty good they will even bring a few different models out to a local lake and let you test them all out for a couple hours before you buy one. Good luck and be safe out there, I would definatly recommend getting a waterproof handheld UHF radio to keep on you especially if you going to be taking out on the Fraser.

Thanks guys, Yeah Chris I have seen yours on Craigslist. I will call you as soon as I sell my kayak to fund my fishing kayak. I would like to see it but do not want to waste your time now.

It's a hobie kayak sailboat. Might sell my tin boat with 9.9 and electric trolling motor. Looks like they might be fun and fast in a good wind. Lot's of you tube vids on them

that looks pretty sweet..what kind of price tag does that have ? I've been pondering about getting a pontoon...but this looks pretty cool..might be just what i need here up island..do you know the make/model ?

In regards to communication,I had to get a HAM radio license to operate my set of hand held VHF/UHF radios.
Course are given all over and well worth the cost(cheap).
Now i'm in communication at all times anywhere,as long as you can patch in to a repeater in the area your fishing.Distance you can talk???If your on a repeater the sky is the limit.
