finally broke the slump i was in today with a nice lil doe(hatchery)..was hooked into 4 more..but lost em...then before i left i decided to swing a fly i tied last night and hooked into a wild doe...totally awesome..my first winter steel on the fly  ...best day ever..heres a pic i took at home with the hatchery doe ..small gooey bob and a drop of hot pink wool did the trick...

thanks cagey !! .pic was taken hours after it waz bonked and cleaned on my balcony...left the flyrod home today..water is so low..hooked into 6 on gear..landed and took home a buck..river is on fire !!

If you can make it up this way i"ll show ya some productive spots..one of the two local rivers i fish is smokin right now...and should just get better for the next few weeks...its my first winter steelheading and its awesome . im putting in 40+hrs a week on the river learning..its finally paying off..2 on the fly and 4 on gear..fought and lost many this week..if ya make it out..gimme a shout..tight lines.
