Anyone out there around the Wood lake area of the okanagan know if the lake is solid and how is it producing?????

drove by on wednesday. take your boat as there is no ice. the kok's are just about non-exestent. there was an article in the vernon papers about a huge dieoff in 2011 due to warm weather. they only had 2000 fish spawn last fall.

Wow thanks for the info....That is complete opposite of what the folks in the local tackle shop are saying, however I hear far more bad about poor numbers of the kokanee in there....So I will stick the same old routine higher up in the hills

are there other fish in wook lake to fish or is it 100% a big waste of time?

some trout but the main fishery is the koks. it is one of the best kokanee lakes but will take a couple of years to rebuild.
