| It has been months since I have made it out fishing. Was too busy dealing with some personal matters. Now that that is mostly resolved, I decided to make my first fall fishing attempt. The Kokanee were not biting, but after seeing so many fish jumping I switched from my Lymann #46-1 to a small spin-troll with red wedding band and worm. We paddled through the boiling water and would pick up one small fish each pass. Unfortunately they were all squawfish, all small and after 7 of them I bored of it and packed it in. It was a little disconcerting to see so many juvenile squawfish though. Especially during Kokanee spawning season, hope this is not a barometer or omen for the Kokanee numbers next year.
