Comments
The weather was cold and sunny with fast moving clouds and sudden short showersthe wind was blowing east fairly strong, made navigation with the bellyboat difficult so me and my friend decided to stay in one area trolling in wide circles from one side to the other. we were using sinking line and leaches as we had a few bites almost right away with them, after about 45 minuites of no solid hits I caught the first fish a 22 inch rainbow who put up a good 20 minuite fight, never had one fight so hard. while angling my fish my friend caught and lost a fish that looked like it was bigger than mine, snapped his leader after draging out about 20 feet of line. after tieing on his second blood leach within 50 feet of trolling he caught an 18 inch rainbow. fish kept biting steady till we were to cold and wet to contunue. next day we tried fishing the wind was alot stronger and colder and ended up traping us at the end of the lake where we decided to get out and walk after only a 1/2 hour. caught one fish each in that half hour of drifting. The hot spot we found is right around the area of the century 21 sign on the north side and the rock portruding from the water on the opposite shore, this also marks the aproximate line where the weeds in the water get close to the surface and are a danger to your hook. fishing was good and steady, smallest fish caught was 16 in. largest landed was 22 in. all fought hard, was a wonderfull trip and a first time experience in an interior lake with breathtaking sceanery.
