| While there is a lot of Chum in Vedder you can use the following trick to quickly release them - put a small hook (#4) on a heavy leader (15lb) and when you hook into chums or whities, you can pull your line and hook will bend to release the fish. But even after dozen such releases, it will be strong enough to fight Coho. This way you can not only save time, but cause less damage to fish, do not exhaust them too much and do not leave gear in the river.
Managed to get couple hatchery Cohos. Water is low and we certainly need RAIN! Tight lines.
