| Second try in my new pontoon boat. Fish jumping right off the beach when I arrived. Stuck to the shadows with mixed results in deeper water. Decided to go shallow and got most action in the 10-15 foot depth range.
Nobody out in tubes or pontoon boats. Final fish was almost a 1-1/2 lb Rainbow that fought like it was about 2 lbs, but mostly less than 1 lb.
Kids did a dip net skim on the beach and Mayfly larva showed up. Changed depth and pattern for much better results. Kids fished from floating dock with Lucky Bugs (orange and purple colours) and got a couple strikes on their spinning reels.
