Camping for the weekend at Rolley. Caught 4 on Saturday afternoon on Halfbacks using Cortlands 444 camo intermiediate sinking line. I love this line. My catch rate has gone up drasitcly since switching. I out fished the wife who was using standard sink line by 3 to 1.
On Saturday Fished north west shore about half way up the lake, 20-30 feet off shore, 20-30 feet of water. Trolling first Halfbacks three caught, then switched to egg sucking leeches for the next hour and got two more. Fished for anouther 2 hours with no luck. went for lunch at 2:00pm.
Back again at 5 egg sucking leechs not working, after an hour switched to gold bead headed leech and bang three in a row. The last one a real scraper finally got him to the tube grabbed the fly to take it out and he flipped and I was left holding my tippet with no fly attatched. Always check your knots after catching a fish or this could happen to you. Didn't have anouther bead head so I tied on a regular black leech and got one more. A great weekend of fishing and camping.
