Used with a float line and a sinking tip near the shore. Drag up the dropoff and it will bring a few hits.   Works the best for this lake.   Not much success.   Few nibbles, use a olive green body.   They were nibbling quite nicely with a sinking line.

Used brighter flys as it seems the water is pretty dark and murky. The only dark fly that worked was the black leeches cast out into the deeper middle from shore. When drawing in the line, TAKE IT REALLY SLOW and kinda jiggle your line every couple of draws. The red spratley though is the preferred fly of them all. Everytime my buddy would cast in, he would wait about 10 seconds of sink time only and then would draw in ... they were loving them! Everytime he would get a nice tug and it was the fly that caught the first fish of the day on his second cast. I would recommend trying bright yellow green-bead headed damselflies as well in the marshy portions of the lake. There is, however, A LOT of natural fish food out there since the water level was abnormally low, but this made it easier to getr closer to the deep middle of the lake. Use extreme caution when wading near the shoreline. The drop off is about 1 1/2 feer from the shore and drops down very steep.
