| I was fishing by the Steep Creek on the East side of Duffey Lake. I used a small pontoon boat, so rather then paddling all the way from the boat launch in the very end of the lake, I used a small campsite halfway between regular boat launch and the Steep Creek.
To my knowledge this is the most important inflow creek at this side of the lake, but there are too many bushes to cast from shore, so the boat is helpful.
I anchored 20-30m from shore to the side of the stream, so that I can cast across the current and let the lure to drift with the current.
I used both Blue Fox and Hot Shot (looks much like the ones I've selected, but in black color). While Vibrax is easy to cast, I found Hot Shot to be more productive.
Landing those beautiful fish is a lot of fun. Good luck!
